Why bother converting?
An M3U URL is a single link with your server, username and password buried in it. Any player that reads playlists can use it, which is why providers hand it out.
Entering the same three values separately unlocks the provider API instead, and that is what gives you a proper programme guide, category folders, an on-demand section and — in some players — resume-where-you-left-off. If your player offers Login with Xtream Codes API, use it.

Questions about players and logins
How fast does my internet need to be?
About 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K, per screen that streams at the same time. Most Canadian home plans easily exceed this. What matters more than raw speed is stability: a wired Ethernet cable or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal to your TV avoids buffering. You can measure your real speed with our free speed test.
Can I watch on more than one device at the same time?
Yes. Each plan comes with 1, 2, 3 or 4 screens (simultaneous connections). You can install the app on as many devices as you like; the screen count only limits how many are streaming at the same moment. A 1-screen plan works on your TV and your phone, just not both at once.
